Janice McCubbin has over 30 years experience in the interior design industry. While continuing her career as one of Houston’s top interior designers, she reinvigorated her career as a professional artist. The combination of decades of experience in interior design in Houston and her years of professional training in art and painting have molded Janice into a unique, highly knowledgeable Houston interior designer. The home of A Janice McCubbin Interiors client, in Jackson Hole Wyoming was featured in the monthly ‘Mountain Living’.

Janice McCubbin was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she always had a keen interest in art. She earned a scholarship to J.B.Speed Art School and Museum at the University of Louisville. She has also been featured in the Southwest Art and American Art Collector Magazines.
Janice’s displays a wide range of styles, techniques, and media. Janice changes the subject matter regularly for challenge and excitement. Janice’s driving obsession and burning desire has always been to improve with each painting and enjoy every minute as she progresses.
After 40+ years in the interior design business, Janice decided that she still harbored her desire to be an artist and painter and forced herself to devote some time to this strong passion. In 2003, she enrolled in a fine art workshop via renowned artist William Kalwick.

She has studied with many of the finest artists in America and a few internationally known artists covering several areas of specialization. Through her art studies, Janice has captured some of each of these varied talents and has worked them into her own style.
Janice’s art has recently been shown at the Germanton Gallery in North Carolina. She has been an annual contributor of art to the Art Guild of Rural Texas and participates in the annual Art Walk. Her work is on display at The Gallery at Round Top, Round Top Texas.
